• I had a Porch that was sinking in to the ground after last Summer's heatwaves for lack of proper footings. The Insurance Company turned out to not have 'teams of appointed Builders' such as is implied in their Marketing froth, and took weeks and weeks to even come and look at the problem. Meanwhile, John had come to see it, and indicate what he would feel was necessary .. a plan which was totally accepted by the Insurance Assessor. Its not often in Life that one can say that it was an absolute pleasure to have people working on your House .. but in this case it absolutely was. Everything explained at every stage, every date met, every care taken with my property, and that of my neighbours too. They saved me coinsiderable extra expense by carefully taking apart the glazing and door units, such that they could be used in the re-build! The end result is a beautiful Porch, beautifully finished, and a very satisfied Customer, who wouldn't hesitate to pick up the phone if future building work was needed! • I would definitely recommend Nottingham Building Company. I needed some repairs to the brickwork of my house. John was highly professional, and completed the work to a fantastic standard.
  
  Some of the bricks needed replacing, and he managed to find some that matched almost perfectly, so you can't even see where the repair is. He was also very responsive, did the work for a good price, and was able to get the work done incredibly quickly after I contacted him for a quote.

• Professional, thorough, honest and reliable and their work is carried out to the highest standard. They have recently done a complete rebuild of my lounge floor from the joists up, moved pipework, removed and rebuilt an old fireplace, re-boarded the floor and replaced all skirting boards. They have also replaced old laminate flooring and an internal door. Overall an excellent job! • Was left in a bit of a bind a few years ago after dealing with a rogue builder. I had a difficult but small job regarding a connection between my garage and my new house extension. Was a tricky fix and because it was a small annoying job not many people were interested in doing it. John not only knew how to do it (I had done my own research) but he was able to do it well and make it look really tidy. His help and skill was greatly appreciated. So much so I got him to landscape my garden, and he did an amazing job!

• We bought our home 34 years ago; it's a unique design. We don't just own it, we are custodians of the 94-year old building. We had a problem with the original front doorstep. We contacted an architectural builder - they didn't want to know. We contacted the largest builders in town - no response. I searched the internet, and contacted John Owen of Nottingham Building Company: I liked his style. He agreed to give me a quotation, and turned up when he said he would. The quote was fair, even though the job was complicated, and would involve a specialist supplier. I accepted his quote, and John placed the order with the supplier. There were complications along the way, none of them John's fault, but to his credit, he always kept me informed of the progress, and sometimes the lack of it. The work has now been carried out. John and his colleague have done a superb job; their attention to detail and quality is very impressive.
